DJI introduced the new industrial drone Matrice 300 RTK . It is capable of being in the air for 55 minutes, and with a maximum load of 2.7 kilograms, the battery capacity is enough for 31 minutes. The drone's potential is truly impressive.

Two inertial measurement units (

IMUs ) The Matrice 300 RTK is equipped with two inertial measurement units ( IMUs ). They are widely used in aviation, including UAVs. The main task is to determine the accelerations and angular positions of the drone.

In the event of a malfunction of the IMU, the drone will not take off, and in the air this threatens with a serious accident. The developers of the M300 RTK took care of this issue and applied block redundancy technology. In other words, in the event of a failure of the main unit within 0.2 seconds, the spare IMU is automatically activated. This will help maintain flight stability and safely land the drone device on the ground.

Two barometers

The barometer determines relative altitude based on atmospheric pressure. Duplication of the M300 RTK barometer allows the drone to switch to the
backup barometer in the event of a primary failure.

Two compasses A

compass, or magnetometer, provides information on the flight path for a UAV. Matrice 300 RTK is equipped with two of them, and in this case they are interchangeable. Their simultaneous work improves the quality of work, and in the event of failure of one of the devices, the second takes on the full function of flight control.

In the event of a failure of both compasses, the RTK navigation system takes over the functions of the compass, determining the cardinal points from the relative position of the navigation antennas.

Collision avoidance


Matrice 300 RTK is highly protected against accidents and collisions. Six pairs of visual sensors work simultaneously in it to study the situation in all directions in real time. The range of operation of the lower and upper sensors, which are respectively directed up and down, is 0.6 - 30 meters. The remaining four look around, as well as forward and backward. Their working range is from 0.7 to 40 meters.

There are six infrared ToF sensors. They help determine the distance to the object by measuring the transit time of the IR signal. And infrared sensors provide distance sensing in low light conditions. Their working range is 0.1 - 8 meters, and the viewing angle is 30 Β°.

Auxiliary lighting

Auxiliary lights mounted above and below the drone have a 5-meter effective distance. They can automatically turn on in low light conditions for the functioning of the visual sensor system.

DJI AirSense Technology

Allows the operator to keep abreast of the external situation in the sky. Notifies about changes in weather conditions (air temperature, wind speed), as well as the presence of dangerous objects for a drone: airplanes, helicopters and other drones within a radius of 20 kilometers. Information includes the exact location of the object, speed, course and altitude. In the event of a collision risk, the system additionally notifies the pilot through the application.

Emergency landing

M300 RTKcan make an emergency landing with one failed engine. Basic drone controls such as ascending, descending and horizontal movements will remain available to the pilot. Of course, the drone and payload can be damaged during an emergency landing, but the pilot can land somewhere far away from people or buildings to keep them safe.

Degree of protection of the case - IP45


Ingress Protection Rating (translated from English - the degree of protection against penetration) allows you to easily work in adverse weather conditions. In the case of the M300 RTK we are talking about IP45 protection . This is complete protection against rain, snow and dust with an operating temperature range of -20 Β° C to + 50 Β° C.

Payload


Matrice 300 RTK is able to accommodate five useful loads in terms of functionality and application. Of these: Zenmuse H20, H20T, XT S, XT2 and Z30 . Of these, the H20 and H20T are hybrid cameras with a thermal imager designed specifically for the industrial M300 RTK .

The first Zenmuse H20 single-grid camera is equipped with three shooting sensors: the main 20-megapixel module with 23x hybrid optical zoom and 4K / 30p support, a wide-angle module with a viewing angle of 82.9 Β° - 1 / 2.3 β€³ 12-megapixel for evaluation environment, and a laser range finder, covering distances from 3 meters to 1200 meters.

In addition, AI-Spot Check will allow you to collect data every time from the same place and at the same time, depending on the mode setting. RTK


Real Time Kinematic (RTK) , or β€œ real-time kinematics ”, or in Russian KVR, - this system can be called differently. In general, she is responsible for receiving information from the air.
