Why do managers want workers to recycle?

Question to the leaders. Why is recycling a frequent and common occurrence at work?
Very often there are leaders who believe that the personal time of workers is their property. They can write at 10 in the evening and on weekends, throw a voluminous task at the end of the working day and ignore the fact that the person was not at dinner.

Of course, there are situations when processing is necessary. Firstly, if the project is on fire. In this case, the entire department for a while forgets about personal life. Secondly, a new employee who has not yet joined the work can process it and he needs time to learn how to cope with tasks faster. Thirdly, the employee is on fire and is ready to work at full capacity, simply because he likes it.

For other situations, I see no reason to panic. 8 hours is enough for a person to do their business for the whole day (most often this is too much). But this is also not a reason to load a person more. This is an opportunity for a person to calmly do their business, relax and come to work with a fresh head.

When a person is nervous, sleeps little and works 12 hours a day - he is physically unable to do his job well. And this is clear to everyone, like the fact that the Earth revolves around the Sun. But there are people who continue to believe the opposite. Why?

I found the following reasons for this (they were duplicated from my @podhodite channel tg)

Reason 1. Most likely, such managers are fixated on work. They have no other hobbies, they do not know how to relax, and by work they extinguish a sense of anxiety. It's a pity, but they drove themselves into it.

Reason 2. They are used to working with people who do not tell them no. Such employees dump the labor, lingering at work and doing work on the weekend. They discount the efforts of others and create an unhealthy work environment.

Reason 3. The manager simply does not cope with KPI in legal hours. He improperly distributed the load, incorrectly allocated priorities and everything flew in a snowball.

I am sure that refining is not a sign of professionalism. Quite the contrary - this suggests that a person is slowly doing work and is not able to manage his time.

Am i right And if you are a leader who believes in processing, explain why you think so?
