Electric mug. Building a crazy electric scooter / electric bike



Hi friends. My name is Dmitry. And I am fond of electrification. I want to tell you about my idea and what I want to build. There is a scooter frame called 20 ”16. More precisely, the bike. So here it is about him.

 



This is a very cool thing, as it turned out. This bike turned out to be the most stable and manageable of all scooters that I rode on. If you take a regular scooter, which we are used to, it looks and rides something like this:
 
 
 
But 20 ”16 is a completely different story. Thanks to an integral welded frame without folding mechanisms, your capabilities turn into a constant desire to fool around. What I mean is that you can move on almost any surface. On the lawn, ice, forest paths and all types of urban road surfaces. A full suspension steering wheel will contribute to this. For those who are motorcyclists, this will probably be the most unusual feeling after a motorcycle. It will be a new type of two-wheeled transport - an electric bike scooter that rides everywhere! It’s definitely worth a try. This is the goal of my project - to build a powerful bike on a 20 ”16 frame with two powerful suspensions and a 3 kW motor wheel in front face value. I have where to weld the frame and assemble the front suspension, battery and accessories. This is an incredibly interesting story for me,and I will show and tell you how the process is going. When the bike is assembled, we will organize a test drive on the off-road track and record video interviews with those who wish - the first impressions of the trip and comments. I really need this material for feedback and further upgrading the bike. But more on that later. Friends, here is a sketch (concept) of a bike of this design - as we see it in the future:





In the next post I will show you and talk about some of the components that will go to the bike. 3 kW motor wheel and how it looks in another, already built electric bike. I’ll tell you about my 20 ”16, which I ride on since December. In the process, I will record a short video about a trip on it in the city and the forest.
