The working process




When digitizing objects, XYZprinting 3D Hand Scanner 2.0 must be connected to the computer. When establishing a USB connection, the user selects a convenient scanning mode:

- a separate object;
- a person in full growth;
- face;
- the head.



The utility, like the switch button on the device, enables and disables the workflow, changes the scanning modes.



XYZprinting portable scanner processes information in a standard way. To get the finished model, the scanner is sent to the subject and slowly move it until the desired result is obtained. The laptop screen broadcasts the process, allows you to control the stages of scanning in real time.



The scanner works at a distance of 30-50 cm from the object, depending on the task and operating mode. Creating a copy of the human body in full growth occurs at the minimum speed of the device. When working with the head, the manufacturer recommends starting with the most convex part in the desired angle. Face scanning is controlled by a specially designed mask.



An important clarification: the movement around the object should be in the "clockwise" direction, the device is in the left hand in a horizontal position. Given that the majority of people are right-handed, work requires little effort before acquiring a skill.

According to Richard Allinson , the price- performance ratio of the device is at a very high level. He acquired a scanner for processing car parts and modeling fixtures. Details in the range from 1 to 2 mm are enough to get scans. The device did an excellent job of getting rough contours to create a model. Out of interest, Allinson created copies of the faces of his grandchildren and printed unprocessed three-dimensional portraits. The result was impressive.
