New in April. Intel Comet Lake-H

In April, there were so many events that I wanted to announce that I had to postpone the post about the global launch of processors for productive Intel Comet Lake-H laptops . However, we can’t completely miss such an important topic, because these processors will be the basis of the Intel mobile platform in the near future. They must be reflected in our annals.



In addition to the 6 processors released at the end of 2019, Intel announced six more, including the top-end Core i9-10980HK model with a maximum frequency of 5.3 GHz, never seen before in the mobile segment. The model is addressed to gamers and professionals - creators of heavy media content, laptops based on it can become not just a replacement for a PC, but a rather cool PC. Compared to previous generations, the processor provides:

  • up to 54% increase in FPS in games,
  • up to 44% increase in overall productivity,
  • Up to 2 times faster rendering of 4k video.

Intel calls the Core i9-10980HK the most powerful notebook processor; at the same time, everyone understands that the limitations in the cooling system of laptop computers will not allow the processor to work at maximum frequency for any long time.
