COVID-19: what they try to treat, what can be treated and some conspiracy theories

The theme COVID-19 now sounds from every iron, and everyone who was a military analyst in January, an economist in the oil industry in February, now suddenly turned into a virologist. Nevertheless, very worthy notes can be distinguished from the information flow. We would like to talk a little about some drugs - and in parallel to touch on the emerging topic of similarity to HIV (there are no similarities), as well as the alleged "anti-HIV drugs work against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus" ( NO , or at least Not certainly in that way).

Even the notorious Luc Montagnier (Nobel Prize for the discovery of HIV) recently expressed his opinion that the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 was made artificially, and parts of the HIV genome were used. Most likely, he made this statement because it is believed that SARS-CoV-2 can penetrate the T cells of the immune system, but studies show that there is nothing in common between the genomes of these two viruses.

UFO Care Minute

The pandemic COVID-19, a potentially severe acute respiratory infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (2019-nCoV), has officially been announced in the world. There is a lot of information on HabrΓ© on this topic - always remember that it can be both reliable / useful, and vice versa.

We urge you to be critical of any published information.

Virus

First, a few general words about the virus itself: coronaviruses belong to group IV according to Baltimore’s classification. These are RNA viruses whose genome is directly copied to RNA - this process is called RNA-dependent RNA polymerization, or simply replication.
