The development of informed leadership for team management

This article is about me, about my knowledge and experience. In it I will tell how conscious leadership helps me.

I have been studying management for over 12 years. Over the past 3 years, I have greatly changed my attitude towards managing people. Conscious leadership for me began with writing a series of unsuccessful articles about employee motivation and corporate culture. I got a lot of feedback and started looking for effective solutions.

The main idea is that management in its pure form is devoid of humanity. The introduction of methodologies does not make employees more motivated, and creating a corporate culture through writing behavioral scenarios resembles a cargo cult more and has nothing to do with reality.

Transferring my ideas and principles to people in a classic way through creating documents is ineffective for me. This approach further distracts me as a manager from employees. Conclusion: people are not resources! The leader must consciously approach the work with employees and pay attention to psychology.

Realizing this principle, I started working on ego, fear, low energy, expanding the boundaries and other qualities of my employees to achieve better results. As a result, people did not hear me, because, in fact, I manipulated them to perform my tasks.

Conclusion: the conscious leadership that I came to does not work on a piece of paper, this is about practice and changing myself. If it is easier, then you need to become a good person who will change people by his example.

What is informed leadership for me, in short?

Three words:

  • Giving
  • Confidence
  • Empathy

How to develop informed leadership? What to work on?

  • Ego. We are losing our ego, we are leaving the comfort zone. The ego is about everything, about the ability to listen, hear, about love, about adequacy. About egoism in general, when we think only of ourselves.

  • Social capital. Sharing experience and connections is a very important quality of a leader. Social capital can be multiplied if shared. This is its difference from the gold and foreign exchange.
  • Victim. We are looking for the blame. This is a very important mistake of future conscious leaders.
  • Stress. It prevents to see wider, affects all areas of life. Reflects on your employees.
  • NGOs. Non-violent communication. Read the book: β€œLanguage of life. Non-violent communication. ” from Marshall Rosenberg. This will improve your life and help you understand how to build relationships with your employees.

I would like to write about this book and fill it with insights with links to the rules, but for now it’s possible to create a series of articles. Thanks and health.
