The epithets βmost-mostβ are quite justifiably applicable to these stars. - The most massive, hottest, shortest-lived, with the most powerful and fastest stellar winds and the largest luminosities among other stars. Our Sun, a yellow dwarf, looks against their background, frankly, unpresentable.
Wolf-Rayet stars are one of the progenitors of supernovae, neutron stars and black holes.
These supermassive bluish bodies, often surrounded by fluorescent gas nebulae, are extremely rare - there are only about 500 of them recorded in our Galaxy.
One of the few stars in the Universe is Wolf-Rayet (WR).

The central Wolf-Rayet star ( WR 136 ), surrounded by its nebula NGC 6888 .
The length of the nebula is 25 St. years old. It consists mainly of hydrogen (red) and oxygen (blue), ionized by the powerful UV radiation of the star.
