One day, a progressive customer came to us from the city of N, in the middle zone of Russia, and said: “We want the data center to work 100% free-call all year round. Can you find it real in general? And if so, what technology do you see as the most logical? ” We were inspired by the refrigerator, because not every day you are offered to work on such a non-trivial project for central Russia, and we began to take it. Under a cat there are a lot of figures and the theory regarding cooling of data centers.

- Not all gold is freecooling! PUE in some “fancoil chillers” may not be much worse than in some “wind turbines”.
- There can be a significant difference between energy efficiency and the total cost of ownership of conditionally identical solutions, therefore, it should be considered as a whole.
