Stepper motor control via Canny controller

Recently came across an article comrade Bosonbeardabout the new controllers and decided to try on the tooth what it is. Without thinking twice, 3 types of controllers were obtained: Canny 3 Tiny, Canny 5 Nano, Canny 7.

What you should pay attention to ... the heart of the controllers are chips from the PIC family - PIC18F25K50-I / ML, PIC18F25K80 , PIC24HJ128GP506A-I / PT - respectively. You can read about the capabilities of each chip from the manufacturer’s datasheets, so we won’t focus on this. Of the features, I can only add that the Canny 5 Nano model has an external TTL-USB driver based on the CP2102 chip. It’s not worth worrying about connecting and soldered connectors on the Canny 7 and Canny 3 models, because the manufacturer manages the supply with a solid bundle of wires with sealed connectors.

I am sure that many will remember the Arduino visual programming environment - ArduBlock , which can support libraries of various modules and protocols. However, nothing happened for PIC chips. And in general, from the moment we began to use Arduino massively about similar devices on PIC, most of us have forgotten. It is difficult to talk about a worthy alternative, but this is definitely a step forward.

I was curious what kind of controllers they are and what they can do, and at the moment I have satisfied my curiosity. I did not come up with a beautiful ending to the article, so to all who read it - thanks for your attention.
