Mitap of PHP communities in March that go online or migrate

In the fall, we have a list of meetings around PHP in different parts of the country, and RomanpronskiyPronsky publishes the closest of them in a short line in his wonderful digest . This time we want to go a little further and tell a little more about each community.

2nd meeting of St. Petersburg BeerPHP chat: March 13, Friday, evening

The chat started as part of the BeerPHP informal movement (we discuss professional topics in city bars without a strict agenda), but after about a dozen bar meetings and 100+ participants in the group, the guys matured to the first virtualization with full reports.

At the January rally, there were close seats, the guys found a new site.

This time, reports are planned on cutting the monolith, DDD and replacing all the back-end scripts with Haskell.

Mitap passed, the video from the meeting can be found on the Youtube channel .

2nd mitap of Voronezh PHP chat: moved

Now the city is experiencing a boom in IT events, and the guys are not far behind, while issuing a mitap per month. The chat appeared literally before the New Year, and already in mid-February its activists organized the first meeting - Sasha Makarov made a secret report about new items in Yii.

There is no photography on the meetings, but 30 people for the first regional meeting is great!

At the second meeting, a report is planned on the experience of creating a game project with a backend on a bunch of ReactPHP + Ratchet + RabbitMQ.

Where to monitor the status of the event: the meeting was planned for the evening of March 16, but on Monday morning the guys reported an indefinite postponement.

Where to watch video from meetings:Mitapas are not broadcast yet, but the guys have plans for recording video. Add to the community chat , if the materials appear, then first of all there.

3rd meeting of the Yekaterinburg PHP community: postponed

PUM ( PHP Ural Meetup ) launched last summer, and in 2019 experimented with formats, alternating reports with open microphones. This meeting will become a classic mitap: up to 3 half-hour reports are planned - by the way, while there is one free slot. The guys are ready to help the third speaker prepare - they have experience working with speakers of various Yekaterinburg and Moscow conferences.

In past times, the chat became crowded and the guys found a new site.

The program announced a report on code review and security through the eyes of a web developer.

Where to monitor the status of the event: the organizers reported an indefinite postponement, details will appear on the registration page and in the community telegram chat .

Where to watch video from meetings: video from meetings is posted on the Youtube channel ( video from the first meeting is also available there ).

2nd major Kazan PHP-mitap: will be held online

Tatarstan PHP chat was born at the first Kazan meeting in December 2019. Due to the fact that the events take place on the weekend, the guys from Ulyanovsk, Yoshkar-Ola and other neighboring and not so areas manage to get to them - so the chat turned out to be “multi-regional”.

The first mitap gathered 90+ people and 6 reports, therefore it was called large.

Again, due to the factor of Saturday, speakers from other cities and regions willingly come to meetings. Last time there were representatives just from Voronezh, this time a speaker is planned from Ekaterinburg (and not only). The program turned out to be rich, again 6 reports that cover a wide range of topics: from a review of little-known utilities and disputes around CQRS to the eternal pain of fighting Legacy and aspects of working on a remote site.

The meeting will be held online:at the same time, we organize live communication with speakers, pizza and other interactive activities. Sign up on the registration page (there is enough room for everyone online, but you can get a reminder) and enter the community telegram chat .

Where to watch the video from the meetings: the broadcast is planned on this Youtube channel (for now, you can watch the recording from the first meeting ).

Where can I find the PHP community chat in my city?

Many cities have their own chats, informal meetings, and meetings - in addition to the above, Ulyanovsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Moscow, Nizhny, Rostov-on-Don, Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, and not only they. Their list can be found here .

And if you don’t find it, start a chat, add it to the general list, and be sure that people will gather slowly.

PS
Perhaps many meetings and conferences are now in the state of Schrodinger cat. All meetings in the review were scheduled prior to WHO statements and other news. Now, plans for their implementation can change, but you can support enthusiasts by joining the city’s chat or, for example, by viewing past / future meetings. Because the virus, we hope, will go away, but the love of technology and knowledge sharing will remain.
