Task

  1. Choose filters for drinking water in a country house.
  2. Smother the toad.

The first thing that confused was the inadequate prices for ready-made systems that “can do everything” and the recommendations of friends who chose filter systems if possible, then buy “unoriginal”. Immediately it came in cartridges from printers, and "nanotechnology."

I still did not like a modest trickle of a pissing boy from an additional tap.

Out of habit, it was useful to look for standards that should be implemented in these systems. It was not possible to find anything muddy-understandable type of RFC, but the cleaning scheme, which equipment manufacturers are guided by, became clear.

  1. Coarse cleaning (sand, suspension, etc.)
  2. Preparing water, removing excess iron, reducing hardness (excess carbonate), etc., if water is taken from a deep well.
  3. Filtration through a charcoal filter.
  4. Fine filter.

In the process, it turned out that the filters are all basically the same, only the form factor is different, i.e. the size of the filter and the size of the flask into which this filter is placed.

The most common sizes and the conditional volume of filtered water: SL-10 ~(103), SL-20 ~(303).

General restriction for all filters - on average, life starts up for 6 months and the filters need to be changed.

Having estimated that from one kitchen faucet in half a year I get no more than 10 cubes of cold water, if I don’t deny myself anything, I chose SL-10 and went to the store. 3 flasks 2500 (rough cleaning is carried out on a water pump), eyeliner for pennies and filters is slightly cheaper than sets with unique characteristics of the form factor from well-known manufacturers.

As a result, I have: clean water from a cold water tap - full stream, and a small saving of money on the purchase of equipment. As a plus, filters in any store, complete independence from the manufacturer. He assembled the system himself, about half an hour.

Of course, there are systems using the principle of reverse osmosis, but they cost much more, and after such a system, it is necessary to put a cartridge with salts (where to get them?) To return their water. Otherwise, leaving for a hospital with health problems is almost guaranteed.
