CAD House made a 3D-printed doll in human height and with fully movable joints.

When 3D-modeling programs and 3D printers became more accessible and easier to use, many were interested in creating objects with movable articulated joints. for example, dolls with arms, legs, body and neck bending and turning in all joints. Spanish artist Sonia Verdu ( Sonia Verdu ) has created some beautiful 3D-printed dolls.



Verdu shared photos of her dolls and their free 3D models on MakerBot Thingiverse. She invites everyone to develop her own doll based on her design.



The South African company CAD House took advantage of this idea and printed a model measuring approximately 1.7 meters, fully movable in all articulated joints.



The company decided to make Robotics as large as possible with existing 3D printers, without having to print parts in parts and then glue them together. Model Robots increased by 5 times. They printed it with PLA plastic on Wanhao's FDM printers .



To make a doll, it took 240 hours of printing. All parts were printed in gold PLA on 3D printers.Wanhao Duplicator 5S and 5S mini .
