Resource Planning. Part 4.1. Before you make a resource plan

Resource planning of a single project is a big topic, and we will divide it into several parts. In the first part we will consider the tasks that need to be solved, the information that needs to be collected and the decisions that need to be taken in preparation for resource planning. And in the second part we’ll talk about how to make a resource plan.

In the previous article, we already analyzed what the resource plan depends on. Let's take a closer look at the most important points and complement them with useful reminders.

What to remember when doing WBS?

High-quality scoping and estimation of the scope of the project is what is the foundation of a good resource plan. Different companies use different templates to prepare and evaluate the structure of work. Good templates already contain checklists and corresponding bookmarks for evaluating work modules.
