Intel NUC Chaco Canyon - Works Where You Need It

From contests about Intel NUC, we are moving smoothly to the announcements of NUC innovations. However, Chaco Canyon cannot be called a 100% new NUC series - the first information about it appeared back last fall. But only now we know everything about Chaco Canyon, including the cost and the date of appearance on sale. Moreover, this time has already come.

The Chaco Canyon series (which currently includes only one NUC8CCHKR PC model ) is noteworthy for two reasons. Firstly, this is one of the most compact representatives of the NUC class - the height of its case is only slightly more than 3 cm. Secondly, passive cooling of the processor is used here. That is, the computer turned out not only small, but also absolutely silent. This was made possible by using the cost-effective Intel Celeron N3350 processor with a TDP of only 6 watts.

Chaco Canyon can be useful where high performance is not required, but compactness and invisibility are necessary. The computer is enclosed in a dust-proof and easy-to-mount case (it can be mounted using eyelets, a VESA construct, or cable ties). Intel recommends using it for workplaces of personnel in production conditions, various objects of the Internet of things, embedded systems and, of course, the intellectual creations of DIY masters. By the way, if you need deeper customization, the board can be purchased without a case at all.
